We first met in 2011 when we were just 16 and 17 years old – basically babies. At the time, we were simply friends.

Years later, in 2020, everything changed. Shawn was living in New York and Victoria was in Miami, and somehow, in the middle of a world shut down by COVID, we found our way back to each other. What started as reconnecting quickly became something much bigger, and we’ve been together ever since.

Not long after we got together, we took a road trip along the West Coast, visiting places like Sonoma and Joshua Tree. The time we spent together on that trip felt magical. We still laugh remembering when Harry wanted to take a picture of us and said, “For the memories… so you can show your kids one day.” Ironically, the picture was never taken – Victoria was too shy.

But that trip sparked something undeniable between us. Soon after, Shawn asked Victoria to be his girlfriend at a hotel in Gainesville while showing her around his college town. From that moment on, everything just felt right. We made each other laugh, challenged each other, and felt emotions more deeply than we ever had before. It felt like our lives had somehow always been meant to find each other.

Not long after, we moved to Spain together. What followed was one of the most incredible years of our lives – traveling across countless countries and experiencing the world side by side. It truly felt like a fairy tale, and a time in our lives we will always cherish.

People often say that when you look back on life, you hope you’ve truly lived. Together, we can confidently say we have. Our journey has pushed us to be braver, dream bigger, and chase experiences we once thought were out of reach.

And the proposal ?

While living in Spain, we created the most beautiful part of our story – our son, Xavier. Some people might say having a baby before getting married isn’t traditional, but for us it was the greatest testament to our relationship. It showed us that together, we can conquer anything life places in our path.

Soon after, Shawn proposed, and now we’re planning the wedding of our dreams – another chapter in the story we started writing all those years ago.

And we truly can’t wait to celebrate it with all of you.
